Unhappy turbo logic mbc install?

Ok so I read many threads/sites where you just 'T' into the bov hose that runs to the intake manifold. The directions that came with this mbc says to run the 'To Boost Source' to the compressor elbow that is bolted onto the turbo(1g). Should I follow their directions or just do it the usual way hoping this mbc is set up like 99% of the others out there???????

Re: turbo logic mbc install?

I can't comment on what their directions say, but you want to T one side into the BOV line and attach the other side to the wastegate. Make sure you take the BCS "out of the loop" but leave it plugged in.

Re: turbo logic mbc install?

if there is already a nipple to attach a line to then do it at the compressor outlet like it says, but if not then you can attach it to the line going to the BOV. All that is for is Vacume and as long as your IC pipes are secure and leakfree you should get the same results either way.

Re: turbo logic mbc install?

yeah i tried the T in the bov line and that didn't work for me i couldn't get over 13 psi. This time i ran it from the nipple on the turbo to the mbc and then to the w/g and it works much better now but it is very hard to controll

I might just use the compressor elbow then that goes to the turbo b/c there is a nipple there. If it seems like it is giving me trouble when I test it,I'll just T into the bov line. Thanks for everyone's comments. Ill try it out tomorrow...wish me luck.

Re: turbo logic mbc install?

I just put mine inbetween the turbo and the waste gate like gsxeclipse97, it just seems like I had to turn it alot to get it up to 15 psi but it works like a champ.

Thanks for everyone's help. I installed it today and i used the compressor elbow nipple instead of the bOV hose. It went well...made some adjustments and kept it at a safe 13psi for now. On my 1st run it was real high..spiked to 20 and think I hit fuel cut b/c I felt a loud knock. I heard you should take just the negative cable off the battery to reset the ecu. Is that correct? Either way I put it at 13psi and the car pulls decent. With no mbc it was going to like 16 b/c the hoses were crumbled. 13psi will due for right now.
