Yes, for ignition timing i'm assuming. You will need either a inductive pickup timing light or a magnetic pick up one. The inductive pickup is most common. Right above the crankshaft pulley there is a small curved plate with a tube coming off of it. if it is all rusty which most likely it is then you will need to clean it up so you can see the degrees that it is advanced. To clean it up you will need to remove it, there are 2 bolts that hold it in there, 10mm i believe. use a wire wheel and clean it until you can see some lines with numbers next to them. Use a marker or something and make the lines more clear. Re-install it and setup the timing light, you will need to use #1 cylinder plug wire which you may find a 1 on the distributor cap or follow the rear passenger side cylinder wire. once you get it all setup, run the car until the cooling fan turns on. Now, unplug the engine coolant temperature sensor (ECT) i believe that it is mounted behind the distributor on the thermostat housing, it should have 2 wire coming out of it,. Make sure the engine is at 700 rpm, some timing lights have a tach on then to measure rpm now check the timing if not use the tach in the car or just guess at it, i believe that it is supposte be 12 degrees btc if it is off then you will need to loosen the nut in front of the distributor, i believe it is 15mm, the one that holds it in place and turn the distributor until it comes to 12 degrees btc. Unpluging the ECT will cause the check engine light to come on, but once you reconnect it when you are done it will go out. When finished make sure to reconnect the ECT and tighten the distributor nut down. Now you are good to go.
