Unhappy door help for my 2-door '88 cavalier

my passenger side door will just not open. the lock itself will barely move far enough from the inside, and from the outside i cant get it to move at all with the key. it just feels stuck from both the inside and out. the handle pulls, but just feels like its pulling at absolutely nothing.

is there any way i can trigger the door to open through the inside of the car door itself? then how would i go about fixing it. any help is greatly appreciated and if you need more details id be happy to give them.

thanks

Re: door help for my 2-door '88 cavalier

Sounds like the door latch is jammed or broken somehow inside. That would make it impossible to open without removing the doorpanel.Thats going to be tough with the door shut against the seat. You may want to remove the seat first and then you will have access to the panel. This is going to be a pain...and time consuming, but you need the door to work for state inspection.

door wont open

try some WD40 in the lock and spray it down inside the door above the latch....
