no. 4 solenoid, a340h

New to the 4runner world, I was wondering if anyone knows how long a transmission will hold up if you get a "code 65". I understand this to be the no.4 solenoid which i am told is in the connected transfer case. If it is toast, does 2550 sound remotely reasonable for fixing the transmission (im assuming rebuild ). Thanks in advance for any input.

(8-19-05) To clarify a bit, I am wondering if I avoid using the overdrive on my 4runner, will that prolong the use of this tranny before needing to rebuild?
