Re: omg (gas prices)

its supposed to go down after labor day, but screw it i am not spending that much on gas. my 1994 saturn sl2 is actually pretty quick, it has the dohc. and on top if that it gets really good gas mileage

Re: omg (gas prices)

Not to start a political debate here. But you can thank Mr. Bush for the outrageous gas prices. Unless of course you havent seen Farenheit 9/11, in that case you wouldn't know what I'm talking about.

But try being a pizza hut driver. I've been wrapping up quarters for gas so that I can still manage to bring in somewhat decent tips. It just hit $2.50 here.. and still going up about 10 cents a day. One of my friends at a Chevron here told me the gas prices are supposed to hit about $3.00 before they start to go back down. But, you've gotta look at the positive side. Think of how the guys in England feel, they're paying out their asses in gas. About $8 (US) a gallon over there. It's crazy.

Re: omg (gas prices)

im near orlando. Gas prices are ranging anywhere from 2.48 in some places outside of the city and all the way up past 3 dollars when you near the attractions like disney world. Im looking real hard at getting a bike. propably wont happen but hey it would be nice...

Would anyone say that maybe some computer tuning would help out gas mileage? Dyno tuning maybe....

....this sucks.....

El Dorado Hills (near Sacramento) California.

$2.69 a gallon + 15mpg '92 V8 Camaro RS + 15 gallon tank x $40 to fill up =

I love my camaro to death, because even with my gas gauge broken (btw, i need to find out how to fix that sometime lol) i can just multiply however many gallons i put in by 15, and i can know exactly when i will run out of gas by using my trip meter. And no matter how much i floor it, coast, or idle, i will get 15mpg. I <3 V8s

I remember back in the day when i drove around a '70 VW Bug getting 35mpg (average) with a 7 gallon tank, costing $12 to fill up.
Saying "back in the day is really sad, because that was about 6 months ago. :/

Oh well.
Hybrids will take over.
Then electric.
Followed quickly by me crying.
yup...

Re: omg (gas prices)

President Bush doesn't set the gas prices...

The price of gas would be the same wether he was in office or not. Nice try blaming him though.

Yeah, I'm thinking about the students that are about to start up their college semester or already have. Many of the students here in my area commute to school from 40 or so miles away each day. There's no friggin way the student loans could have budgeted out for this crap. I'm glad I decided to lay off this semester and try to build up my financial cushion again. The firebird is going to stay parked as much as possible and I'm breaking out my Raleigh or Cannondale for the good sprint rides.

Obviously you haven't seen the documentary Farenheit 9/11. Otherwise you would have understood what I meant by that remark.
