Thumbs up Sherwood GM in Saskatoon

When I was looking for a car, I first went to Saskatoon Motor Products to take a gander at the Cobalt. They guy I immediately didn't like, he didn't seem to know what he was doing. He also pointed out things like "look, the vanity mirror, the pretty colour, the big trunk, etc etc" when I don't give a shit about that stuff (I'm a chick), I was more interested in the motor and more technical specs. Then when I asked if the plastic covering over the engine is easily removable to get to the engine itself, he made the bad mistake of saying "uh, hunny, you don't need to take the engine out to service it". HEEEEEELL NO! See ya later.

So I went to Sherwood, and the guy I dealt with was FABULOUS! I told him what I wanted, he didn't push anything else on me, got me the price I was looking for, and was in general a buddy. We didn't talk all that much about cars, more life stuff. And I don't know what it is, I bring out the friendliness and comfort on people, we were both swearing and laughing and joking around. He picked me up and drove me around wherever I needed to go when it came to car business. My car took forever to get from Calgary to Saskatoon, over a week, and he was very apologetic about it. He even got the manager to call me and apologize. When it finally got there, they usually only put 20 bucks worth of gas in, they filled it right up to the top as an apologetic gesture. MUCH appreciated!

And the fact that I'm a 21 year old student did NOT in the least bit hinder them from giving me the same service as a 50 year old businessman. They were FANTASTIC!

I've since been in to get my car serviced for warranty stuff, nothing major, and they have been GREAT! (Except for forgetting about picking me up from work with the shuttle, which was forgivable because the girl driving was a doll, just friendly and bubbly, made me forget all about being stranded for 45 minutes). They have been thorough, professional, and kind. The sales guy even called me and asked what was up with my car. If that's not after sales service, I don't know what is.

Anyway, I recommend Sherwood GM to anyone and everyone looking at buying a new GM car, they're just awesome. It made my first new car buying experience so comfortable and relaxed.

Cheers.
