For those of you who make a living in sales: I salute you!

Becasue people fucking SUCK!

I've been trying to sell my damn RX-7. And it's been a sonova bitch. The day I went to show THE KID, is the day that my girlfreind and I broke up. Long story short, its been a very messy situation, and I live 70 miles away from the car now, and I need the money. Well, i let THE KID know what was up, that i needed the money in a bad way. He was like "oh sure, i'll get you a deposit right away". Didn't hear from him. CAlled him MANY times. Nothing. So I put the car back up for sale. There it sat for 2 weeks, no interest. I finally texted the kid asking him if he was still interested. He responded with "i only have 1k , sorry i've been busy a lot blah blah" I said that that was fine, i just NEEDED the car gone from where I have it parked, like NOW. So we sorta set up a date for him to give me some money and i'd give him the keys so he can drive it out of there. Then when he got the rest, i'd transfer the title. That's supposed to be happening in 3 minutes.

He said he'd be out of work at 4:30. I waited till 5:30, and called. No answer. LEft him a message, leaving TWO phone numbers to get back to me with. I talked a little with his girlfriend on AIM, asking if he's still up for 7 tonite. "He'll be home soon" she said. Never responded to anything alse after that. Called him a couple more times. Nothing. This is AFTER i was willing to drop to a STUPID low price.

What teh fuck is with people these days? This is bullshit. I wouldn't care so much if it wasn't for the fact that it's VITALLY IMPORTANT for me to sell the thing and get the money out of it!

Lucky for me, a different guy called today asking about the car. I left him a message. Hopefully this guy isn't a scum-sucking dirtbag. Hopefully he'll be willing to take it offa my hands. I hope that after I hopefully sell this car to this other guy, THE KID will phone or message me saying "I have the money, lets meet so I can take the car!" and then i can say "Sorry jackass, but your complete fuckup in the situation caused you to lose out on this great deal. Maybe if you smoked less grass, you'd remember to call me back, dick."

Goddamn. Fuck this shit.

I know what you are saying. My parents own alot of houses and when they go to show one to sell it, they will even give the person a call to make sure the are still on and alot of times the person will say." Yea, sure I'm on my way", and nerev show up. People are real assholes.

Been there, had that done to me. What ever you do don't give the kid the car until he gives you all of the money, unless you like leaving unreturned messages and hearing excuses. He's already proven himself unreliable. Even if you keep the title and still own the car it could be a big hassle. You might even be held partially responsible if he has an accident. Don't do it. Need money now? Get a loan. Must move the car? Keep it at a relatives or friends house, anything but give it to this loser. I hope it all works out for you.

I worked in sales.

6 months.

1 grand.

You have to be good at selling, making the customer want the product, then give them a need for the product, or your FUCKED

I'm sorry to hear about your g/f, I'm going through that process now.

Re: For those of you who make a living in sales: I salute you!

I've done sales for the past few years. Took 2 years off, but I'll go back. Hoping real estate or maybe even pharmiceuticals (that's great that I can't even spell it )

But I'm sorry to hear about your problem with this prick. If there is one thing I've learned in sales...words (promises) are worthless.

Rarely will you find someone honest. And I'm not just talking about the salesman. If a customer promises a sale or a meeting (whatever) at a later date...NEVER count on it.
