Some people shouldn't be allowed to drive cars, much less tune them...

Re: Just Bought A 2.4L Turbo KIt

If you're boosting a car, you should have that knowledge already. If not, you're going to be in for PLENTY of headaches. My reccomendation? Try to return the kit and get some experience with lesser mod's first. Work your way up. Gain more knowledge or you'll blow yourself up.

but...I guess to start you'll need to intercool and an oil cooler would help, also consider 3" exhaust, as you'll want to maximize outflow from the turbo.

If you have an 00+ cavi, then you can use the GM reflash for the GM supercharger. Or you can check out www.jbodyperformance.com they do reflashes too.

I saw that same turbo kit on Ebay. He had a Turbo XS BOV for sale also right. I just bought a T3 turbocharger. Need the rest of the parts though lol. But when you get it in could you e-mail me and let me know how long it took? I have some experience ( head work, injectors, fuel pump, exhaust) but ive never played with a turbocharger. It going to be fun

yea thats tke kit i bought with the bov too and he sayd it worked fine on his car, but i was just wandering if it would be a hp gain to add a hih volume fuel pump, regulator, etc. I read on here that the chip off ebay dumps more fuel to the injectors.... i was lookin at the turbo specialties Injection control unit with turbo timer. http://www.importperformanceparts.ne...uelmanage.html . Heck im only 16 years old and if you saw what ive done with my lil cavalier so far i think you'd be impressed. aem pulleys, intake, exhaust, and i have another engine that im going to go into and rebuild with eagle rods forged pistons cams, port and polish, it just takes time. and by the way i gave plenty of experience with mechanics i have a 738hp (at the rear wheels dyno tested) dirt late model racecar that i race every saturday nite and wrench on it all week.

Yes, you will need a new fuel pump and injectors with a turbo. What did the kit come with? Show me a link.
