6000 redline?

i have a 95 civic ex with the d16z6 motor. i have recently swapped an ex manual tranny into it converting it over from automatic however my redline is 5900 maybe 6000 and from what i have been reading that is way below what the factory redline is? if anyone has any ideas please let me know

my redline is 7500, it is a stock manual.... if you want to change your red line, change your ecu to a manual ecu, it will set your red line at 7500 and v-tec at 5500

yep u have to get a manual ecu

yeah thats the problem i changed my ecu out also and it still redlines at 6000 we put it in when we did the swap

so ur saying it still redlines at 6000?do u have a cel? are u letting the engine warm up?

yeah it has the manual ecu and it redlines at 6000 still and yeah it can warm up for 10 minutes or however long and it still does the same thing. and im havin a dumb moment here but i dont know wut a cel is?

yeah i do have a check engine light and it is on. however it only came on after installing the vafc2 controller and i am pretty sure that it is on because bad 02 sensor and lack/excess amounts of air fuel mixture but i could be wrong

with a cel it wont let u red line, so fix ur cell and u should be fine.

well snowman it was a no go on the cel when the car cranks up the light doesnt come on for approximately ten seconds give or take so i checked it and it still redlines at 6000 so any other suggestions?

so ur not getting a code/cel anymore and its still no letting u redline?

no sure didnt. is that a necessary thing to do? i think i can get one pretty easily if i need to
