Rear Window Problem
Here is the situation:
The switch on the driver side door will roll the driver side rear window DOWN but NOT up. The switch in the driver side rear door will not roll the window up OR down. I swapped the driver side rear door switch with the passenger side rear door switch and miraculously I was able to roll the driver side rear window up. And to make matters more interesting I was able to roll both windows up and down with the rear switches switced... Just wondering what I have to do now.. Thanks for you help.... Its a 2000 Olds Intrigue Thanks John |

Rear windows problems
I have similar problems. At first I could not operate both rear windows from rear doors but worked from driver side door. Then it stopped working from driver side too. Now the both rear windows do not operate and are starting to slide down as I drive over any bumps or pot holes. How do I make sure that it is the motor that needs to be replaced?

Check to see if you have a stuck switch. You know over time there can be build up of stuff on there or maybe somthing spilled over the switch, etc... But my point is it might just be stuck. In any case that was my problem. I went to radio shack bought (contact/ control cleaner & lubricant) spray. Took off the switch sprayed a little work the switch back & forth until it stop sticking. It is kinda high price $9 bucks a can but I think worth it.
