My AC gets cold at first but then warms. It seems like
I can fiddle around with the controls & get it to work
for a little while again but then just gets warm again.
Is there anything I should look at before I take it
somewhere? Thanks

it sounds like you are low on freon, when you first start it gets cold, but since there is not enough freon in the system it causes the water on the evaporator to freeze to it and then it just stops working.
