Accelerating Problems 98 Blazer

I'm having some accelerating problems. As I'm hoping on the freeway as I'm accelerating, my car will begin to slow down while I still gasing the freakin thing. Sometimes after a few seconds it'll go back to normal and sometimes I'll have to pull over, shut the car off and then start it back up and continue on my way and everything is fine. This only happens when my ride has been parked for a while like over night or so. HELP anybody. Thanks!!!!!!

Re: Accelerating Problems 98 Blazer

I suggest you go to Autozone and get the codes scanned.

Re: Accelerating Problems 98 Blazer

Go to autzone and ask the service department if they can scan your trouble codes from your engine computer.

They will bring out a small computer that connects to your engine and reads the troubles codes that are turning your check engine light on.

Get the EXACT codes they tell you and bring them back here and we will help you with what they mean.

Mkae sure you get the EXACT codes from them.

BY the way, when the Service Engine Soon light is on, take it to the dealer to get it checked, it means that the cars computer knows exactly what the problem is and is trying to tell you via the light. Once they hook the computer up to a diagnotic machine they can tell you exactly what is going on. Its nice that Auto Zone has that service, but you may as well just go to the deaqler.
