I'm thinkin of selling my car and getting a GSX. Maybe 1g gsx and spend the other cash on upgrades lol. Thing is, i dont kno how to sell. I kno how to make a banner that says "Eclipse 4 Sale" but i dont kno what to do with paperworks and all that. How much do u think i could sell my car?

Re: guide on selling

First run the blue book on you car. I'd do it for you, but people get offended when they realize how little their car is worth. I know for a fact its worth though.

based on this, put up an autotrader ad with some nice pictures, and a good description. Asking price should be about $1000 above private party value, but with in Retail value. You CAN't see a car for over bluebook because no one can finance it. You can sometimes get a little more on a rare car, but its hard. depends where you are from.

in terms of the paper work, do you own your car out right? have the title? if so its pretty easy, you can print up a bill of sale off the internet. just go to your states DMV website for info.

just an example on auto trader i sold a 96 accord coupe EX for $500 below blue book in 3 weeks. never put an add in the paper, and someone drove 3 hours to buy it. it had 110k miles, and i sold it in the DEAD of winter, huge huge winters here in the snow belt of lake erie. so if you are going to sell it, nows the time

Right on TreeFrog. Also, bl1tzk1213g, make sure you take really good pics of your car, if you plan to post any on websites, etc. There's nothing more psychologically discouraging to a potential buyer than a bunch of low resolution, off-center, fuzzy images of what you have to offer, no matter how clean it really looks and no matter how much money youve dumped into modding it, etc. A simple turn-off like that can mean a missed sale.

hmmm ill prolly guessing around 7k. Disappointing . i thought i could sum up enough money to get a decent 97-99 gsx and enough cash to get a sixbolt. Its very hard for me to find a gsx around my area even if i tried autotrader within 100miles.

Re: guide on selling

Where do you live? I would ask more than book they can front some cash and get a loan. IN them areas where turbo DSM's DONT exsist than you can get alot more for it than somewhere else bc there is some one out there that has been looking for one and willing to pay for it. ex my friend sold his 95 white gst 127000miles no bumpers dings all over for 6K some kid really wanted a turbo dsm no matter the cost.

Re: guide on selling

It's your car. Sell it if you want somthing diffrent, keep it if your scared of chage.

Dont consern yourself with that banks are going to do. You dont have controle over whos going to buy your car and how good their credit is going to be. Sell it for what you want to sell it for. If somone needs to put $3000 down becasue they have crappy credit and the bank will only do 80% loan to value so what. not your problem.
