Headlights on the 2004 GP Please Help!!!!!!!

Does anyone have any trouble with the headlights "bouncing" on the 2004 Grand Prixs????

Mine sure does. Other drivers think I'm flashing my lights at them and bright light me all the time.

I drove a rental while mine was in the shop for a couple of days. It was an 05. The headlights in the 05 mount different. It uses a metal bracket that slides down in the rear of the headlight just like the 04's do, but it bends at the top of the headlight in a 90 degree angle and has a screw through it to the core support.

I guess GM wasn't thinking, or maybe they were in a hurry to get the 04 out. I always say, never buy a vehicle the year they do a model change, but I always seem to be the first in line

have the dealership check and make sure a tab (or other such gizmo) isn't broken...i have a 04 as well, i have changed out hew headlamps (not because of problems...but cosmetic) and changed bulbs (new silverstars) and have never had a problem. i also have a friend with a '04 hew has not had any problems either. i would start by asking the dealersip (esp if under warranty) to fix it. i dont think its s design issue since there is no recall on that, and that would be listed as a safety issue!

also, do you have a GTP?or GT1 / GT2 the ones i refer to are of the GT1 / GT2 varriety

hope that helps

I have the GT-1 model. I have removed the headlights and everything is there, nothing broken or missing.

Maybe I need to use some sort of rubber spacer to make the headlights fit tighter or get the brackets for the 2005 model for mine.

The car has close to 40,000 miles on it, so warranty is out.

I still need to find a factory radio, mine quit at 39,000 miles, it just had to wait until the warranty expired.

Also, do you have trouble with the steering clicking-popping when turning, such as in a parking lot???

yes. that clicking/popping is covered under a recall notice. dealer will fix that for you. do a search for the recall # i dont know it but had it done. they tighten up some things for you.
