firebird vs camaro

im thinking of buying the base model of fire bird or the base model of camaro.. both 2000 ... anyways.. i like the firebird look better than camaro.. which one is faster? also.. which one is more expansive with the insurance price?

They're basically the same car...if you like the look of the firebird better, get it.

yea,
pretty much same vehicle, with same eng/trans packages.
firebird is more agressively styled, I think the camaro weighs less (not by much)
their is a wide following of aftermarket performance for either.
and since both are two door, the insurance will depend on age, marital status, prior infractions...
oh yea, and if you get the base with a V6 or a V8!

I purchase a Camaro for my 16 yr old Daughter. 1 week later a car ran a red light going 65 mph and t-boned her passenger side. Although the cops said the impact prob should have killed her she didnt have a scratch. The reinforcement bar in the door hardly bent and saved her life. All that was left of that side of the car was the bar but thank God Chevy knows how to build them. I have replaced the car with a Firebird which are built just as well.
