Awesomely Weird Bands (strange instruments)

There's two bands that I've been listening and liking music from recently, both make use of some rather unusual instruments.
One, a local band called "Mr. Pacman" uses a Commodore SX-64 computer (an eight-bit portable machine from the eighties) as a bass, and the lead singer also plays a keytar. Pretty cool band, the SX-64 makes some pretty awsome sound effects for them to boot. (Be The Hero, No Ghosts, and Luxury Car are pretty good songs, though the whole Star Hustler album is great (excepting the first two tracks which suck).
The other band, is even more awesome.
"The Decemberists" hail from Oregon, and they make regular use of Accordians, electric organs, and even a Hurdy Gurdy. The Mariners Revenge, and The Chimney Sweep are two songs you should listen to by these folks (though Sixteen Military Wives, The Legonaires Lament, and The Engine Driver, are all pretty good too).
It's refreshing to listen to something that isn't just guitars and drums
Anybody know of other bands who regularly make use of weird, or unusual instruments? I'd be interested in knowing.

Jaga Jazzist doesn't use 'weird' instruments, but they do have a trumpet, tuba, xylophone, all sorts of stuff.

Mahavishnu Orchestra makes use of, well, an orchestra.

Nuclear Rabbit.. uses a 9 string bass as a lead (soon to be 11..)

Les Claypool was on tour jamming with Gabby La-La who plays an electric sitar. That was a great show.. shes mega hot.

Windir and Finntroll - two Scandanavian black / folk metal bands both make heavy use of keyboards and accordians - very unique

Corvus Corax is a German band that does lots of metal / medievalish stuff using every single instrument imaginible (via keyboard, at least). - very interesting.

I agree with you that he is, but to fully understand it you have to listen to his solo Classical Thump.
