2nd Gen Ignition Mods?

Hello all. Does anyone know of any coil and spark box mods for a 2nd Gen Si? Has anyone tried any of the Nology wires(I think those are the ones with the built in capacitors in 'em?) or any of the other gimmicky sounding wires?

About 2 years ago I bought an MSD Blaster SS coil which had a different plug harness setup than could fit the system in my car. I did try splicing it in but it didn't work and I think I came really close to seriously frying something electrically.

Any help would be appreciated.
