Climate control dim on 98 LeSabre

Is there a fix for the dim cllimate control? I found a fix for Regals with a dimming problem a few years ago and I lost the site address. There was a problem with a connection or electrical part inside.

Does anyone know if that's what causes this control to dim until you tap on the readout then it's brighter for a while?
