I feel bad...but not that bad
My son called the other day and said some south american guy that worked for him needed cash fast so he could get home to see his critically ill mother. He said the guy was selling an '85 Silverado for whatever he could get for it. He told me it had a brand new 350 crate motor in it. So I offered him $1,000 sight unseen and the guy said ok.
He brought the truck over that afternoon with the title. Beside the new 350 in it, it had $1,400 in tires & wheels, new racing bucket seats, new carpet, a new cowl induction hood, a new aluminum Edelbrock intake, and a new Holley carb. I felt bad cause I knew the guy was losing a ton of money on the deal but like I said....I didn't feel that bad after I saw the truck. It runs like a scalded dog too. |
