396 in 88 monte ss??

has anyone done this successfully ON THIS SITE?? i know of people doing it, but any of you white devils do it? i can get one that runs, and a tranny for 1200 bucks...i know i would need to change the rearend though...too weak. nay suggestions?

almost finished it, then had to pull the motor out from a bad rebuild before i bought it. sounds sweet and looks right at home. 454+.030, 400-2004r(couldnt decide)was using the 2004r and a 8.5" rear.
