Re: Edelbrock Turbo Kit vs Greddy Turbo Kit ?
Yes, because it comes with an intake manifold and an intercooler. You have to pay extra to get the intercooler kit from Greddy. Also comes with a boost gauge and BOV.
If you don't need to worry about emissions testing, I'd buy a DRAG kit over both. |

Re: Edelbrock Turbo Kit vs Greddy Turbo Kit ?
In my opinion yes. It comes with a much bigger turbo, though from what I've heard (and seen) the manifolds are crappy. But looking at your profile, I'd assume you do have emissions testing. So you'll have to make sure that whatever turbo kit you get, is carb exempt.

Yeah the drag manifold is crap. The wastegate sits right over one cylinder rather than all four.

Greddy is good if.... well I can't even joke about Greddy being good.
If buying a premade kit I highly reccomend Full Race. |

Greddy and Edelbrock are decent kits...but for the money, you can do a lot better. If you just read into that site that superbluecivicsi gave you, you should be able to figure it out, and possibly build one of your own kits

Wow where on earth are you getting a Greddy kit for $2000? Is that brand new or used. Everywhere I look it's at least $2500. How can I save myself $500?

Greddy makes an awful "kit." I wouldn't even call it a kit. I doesn't come with everything you need. No BOV, No intercooler. They tune the boost for some ricdiculously low amont out of the box so you can "bolt it on" without these and be "ok." Still, even AFTER you buy these...output is nothing compared to a good turbo set-up.
Between the 2, the Ebelbrock kit is lightyears better. It comes with a manifold, Tial BOV, autometer boost gauge and spearco intercooler, and it comes with a piggyback control unit, which is a litle better than a FMUY most kits use. It also uses, according to the edelbrock site, a Garret T28 ball-bearing turbo, which is going to spool faster than a non-ball bearing turbo (like greddy and many other kits). http://www.edelbrock.com/automotive/...act/index.html Now they also have an upgrade to the 2 different sized trrim GT28R turbos, which is a pretty darn good Garrett Ball-bearing turbo. That'd be the one I used if I was going to buy their "kit." I've looked over the compressor maps for that turbo, and I've always liked that one http://www.edelbrock.com/automotive/...act/index.html Now, if you are willing, as was said, save you money and screw a bolt on kit. Put toghter your own kit, and use a hondata with boost control for the management. This would be better than either of those 2, but out of the 2 you gave, Edelbrock is better than greddy. Greddy kit's suck, and that's all you need to know. It's just a well know name, they are not good kits.
