Re: This sucks.

Hey I feel your pain, not so much on the laid off thing, but, our gas prices are 1.08/Litre for the base grade.

Wow, I just did the math on that... I think I'll shut the hell up now. I'm paying $2.49US/gal, your price at $1.06CAN/L is $3.36US/gal

Actually a Canadian gallon (or an imperial gallon as it is known) holds a little bit more than a u.s. gallon.

Imperial or Canadian gallon = 4.54 litres according to goolge so that = $4.81 a gallon here.

A U.S. gallon = 3.78 litres according to google so that = roughly $4.01 a gallon here.

Either way it still sucks.

Checking online (www.gasbuddy.com) in my area, we're at $2.29 a gallon.

$2.73 for 87 oct. , west coast price, and the refineries are all within 40 miles. You think that would make it cheaper. Prices are based on production & transportation of crude stock, refined process (which is the largest percent), pipeline transportation, truck terminal distribution and then comes the taxes (federal, state, excise tax). The big roll over is happening now, the buyers market is turning into the sellers market.consumption is becoming much greater than production and new discovery of oil. In about 50-80 years fuel will not be available to the consumer, only military and goverment.

I would drive a Chevy Cobalt before I`d drive a ricer.

Not enough to motivate there ass to find more reserves. Higher prices and they think more profit even though they won't admit it...

259.9 a gallon right now. My wife's laid up so I'm driving her Grand Prix this week. Man, that thing coasts FOREVER on the highway while reading 99.9 mpg on the computer. Average mpg readings at the end of the day is 30 mpg.

I'd better watch out...I could get used to this.
