How much did you pay for intake gasket replacement

1) How much did you pay to get your intake gaskets replaced?
2) What other repairs did you get done at the same time?
3) What problems, if any, have you had since the repair?

I paid around $600 to have mine done.

I had the cap, rotor, and distributor pinion replaced at the same time. I also replaced (myself) the plugs and wires at the same time (within a couple of days)

I had a check engine light on a few miles from the repair shop. Code was related to the EGR valve. The mechanic somehow made it work again when he put it on the scanner.

That is because he forgot to plug it up when he finished your intake... If he would have roadtested your vehicle after he performed the repair, he would have noticed the light and would have corrected the problem before you picked up your vehicle.

Re: Re: How much did you pay for intake gasket replacement

I did mine myself. I also replaced the Dist rotor cap and button since I had it off. Replaced the Intake heater hose nipple ( a must). No problems with it at all, been 10 months.

My cousin is the chief mechanic in a shop in Tucson. He said they do 3 of these a week. They run about $500-$600 a piece.
