from what i have read from many cv 'experts'...

do not do it! it will kill your tranny.

get a chip, or do the j-mod.

yes! i love them...

they are only good for about 10-12rwhp on a dyno; but, they will drop you 2/10's in the quarter mile.

i cannot remember exactly how to tell. i will have to look it up.

i do remember though that if your car was built 2/92 or later it will have the aode. before that it will have the aod.

having an aod will make it tough to find a tuner. on a positive note though, you could toss in a HO 5.0L. that tranny is compatable.

fyi... forget about the j-mod, you can't do it with either tranny.

Oh YES YOU CAN. The AOD is a no, but the "J-mod" was DESIGNED for the AODE.

How to tell which you have? Simple, the AOD is a "two bolt" starter, and the AODE a three.
