Question grime on light covers, what should i do?

I have a question, i hope somebody can help me.

I have a light cover on my 2000 golf that looks like if it had grime(yellow look) it doesn't look clear and i changed the other one and is starting to look a little bit like the other one.

I just wanted to know what can i use to fix it, to make it look clear of course if there's something that i can use.

Thanks

Hey,

Go to a hardware store or even a supermarket and pickup some Silvo silver polish. I use this on all kinds of stuff...even a scratched watch!

You can also go to an automotive store and get a similar product called Mothers Plastic Polish.

But the Silvo is probably the easiest to get.

All you do is put some on the lens with a clean cloth and rub it in and wait for it to dry (it's a creamy solution). Then take another cloth and rub it clean. You can do it several times.

This works because it's made to polish silverware and you want the minimal amount of silver to come off. Plastic is soft, so a very fine polish will remove a very small amount of the surface usually the grime filled area and reveal a clear and clean surface.

Hope this helps!
