Talking A large portion of my life is now complete....

I just truly experienced an orgasmic-nirvana-like driving experience. I just have to share it.

Here at Kettering University (use to be GMI) I'm in the Firebirds car club. Every year, we have our annual car show, in which we get dealers from around the area to let us display their new products. We pick up all the products tonight, display them tommorow, and take them back saturday night. I coordinated with a local Ford dealer to secure some products, and drove back a turbo-diesel F250 to the storage lot (prior to being stored in the garage for overnight). Upon my return, I swapped with a fellow member for his brand new, 5.7 L Charger R/T - which I proceeded to take for an incredible 15 minute ride . That was amazing. 340 hp of sheer badassedness, and the handling of a go-kart. . That alone was awesome. However, after that, I was also able to drive a new SLK 350, and a new CLS 500, for about 5 minutes each. I have never driven anything like those 3 vehicles in my life. It was simply driving paradise. It was incredibly badass. I just had to share it with you all. Thank you.

BTW, if I can get borrow a digi-cam, I'll take some pics tommorow at our show and post up, so that way noone will tell me:

" "

LoL. I'll try to have some pics ASAP.

By the way, if any of you Michigander AF-ers want to attend our car show, it's tommorow at

Hey bro, if you're ever in the LA area hit me up and I'll see if I can let you drive a couple AMG Mercs. They're a totally different beast compared to the standard models. It sucks though, after you drive an SL65 everything else feels so goddamn slow.

Are we talking 355 hp AMG's? - if that happened John, you would become my idol. LoL - i'll have to remember that; I might get down there next summer to visit my friend. Just don't lose your job until then, at least

No, we're talking about 500-650 hp AMG's.

Oh, and no promises on the "keeping the job" thing.

Lol, Do a Drew. Don't worry, I don't plan on having any wheels fall off after I work on a vehicle. I take more pride in my work to let that happen. But today Mr. Hilton came back after I worked on his car. I pulled off the door panel to replace a light a couple days ago and the release cable for the door handle came off today.

Drew is my ex-roommate, we work at the same shop. A couple months ago, somehow, he left a customers wheel loose on their S500. It fell off when she was driving like 2 days later. She's ok and not much happened to the car but he got suspended for 3 days.

I still don't know how you leave a wheel loose. I mean, it's either on the car and tightened, or completely off. I've never halfway put a wheel on....but I guess that's just me.

It's my friends. The interior is nice, it's good pretty good brakes and it's mighty fast! It's not ugly by any means, but it's very bland to me. Also the throw on the shifter is a mile long. Uber power though

Re: A large portion of my life is now complete....

Digital camera is en route. Should have some pics posted by 5-o'clock-ish.

Yeh you're right about that long throw. I sat in one and dry-shifted it and it felt long as hell.

We had a bit of a scare this morning. It fucking sucked. I was in charge of arranging / bringing 4 Ford vehicles here from a local dealer, and 2 of my drivers lost the keys to a new Explorer and new Freestar somehow in the process of bringing the vehicles to the garage. The keys were in neither. After tons of searching, calling, talking, and even telling the Ford dealer that we lost them, we found them in the side door pocket of a new Dodge PowerWagon. We don't even want to know how the hell they got there, but everything's good-to-go now. I was really sweating it there for a while... *phew*!
