cd player help for a newbie

truth be told i dont know much about cars. But i figured how hard can it be to install a cd player, so i bought the kit to fit the cd player in my 98' sunfire, and the cd player. I removed the stock radio, and quickly realized i was in over my head. First off the power connection in the back didnt fit my cd player. My cd player is a sony model cdx-sw200. The back of the cd player has the left and right RCA jacks, and a diffrent power connector. All i see that was connected to the back of the stock radio was the antenna and the power jack. Any help as to what the hell im suppose to do would be appreciated.

P.S
the cd player i bought does come with a power connector that fits it, no idea as to how i would slice into the existing one though. Matching colors wont work since there seems to be some diffrences

Please God, tell me you used a harness adapter for the install, and didn't hack the factory harness off.

Agreed,for the $ it's well worth not having the headache of butching a wireharness,not to mention the time.I can't believe there are some people that still pratice this art.
