Question 2004 Cavalier Stereo Questions

i just bought a 2004 CAV 2dr (18,000miles) for $6,000 + My 94 Lincoln TC and i got a few questions after i did a few searches here so here goes

1. i wanted to change the factory single cd out for my aftermarket cd player but it just seems likea pain in the arse so im just gunna leave it but i want to attach my amp and sub so can i splice the rear speakers and attach RCA wires without messing anything up?

2. what are some sites with CHeap body kits?

3. the chevy dealer said that the standard factory warranty only cover defective parts is that normal?

4. any know problems with the 04?

5. does the CD palyer only recive info from radiostations? or can it read CD's with certain tags? or CD/R's

splice the wires you want... andd use a voltmeter to see if they are 12 V ... then u might be able to use them but most amps are hooked up directly to the battery.

body kits .. bleh..

what else would be covered by warrenty other then defective parts?? I dont think rust and corrosion is covered and I know maintiance is not covered by warrenty.

04... prolly a the heater resister... if its rusty then exhaust hanger mounts rust off... other then that i will tell you in a couple months.

I would guess that the factory cd player will play all cd's (burned or not) and receive all radio stations..

Re: 2004 Cavalier Stereo Questions

1: I dont know anything about stereo systems so I wont say anything on that.
2: Cheap body kits? Ebay has super cheap ones but you risk them not fitting or being so cheap they break on you just after being put on. Google search Cavalier Body Kit and Im sure you'll find stuff.
3: Yeah thats normal as far as most warranties go these days it seems.
4: The 2003 has a rather cheap IAT sensor. You may want to replace yours with an aftermarket instead of the factory ones which have tiny wires. They can cause problems, though probably minor ones.
5: The factory CD player should play CD as well as CD-R/RW. If it doesnt then GM is stupid.
