Exclamation Need help in Ohio

Anyone in ohio area near akron, cleveland that knows/wants to come help me put in my tranny? its a '99 gs 5 spd.. i have no clue what im doing but hey i don't have the 800 bucks a shop wants.. ne tips/advice would be great!!!

im in Ohio, 10 mins. south of Columbus, but i dont really know to much about the GS and RS Eclipse engines/ trannys.

hye man, why dont you go ahead and post Info about whats wrong with your tranny first of all so that someone that knows trannies but dont live in your area mite be able to help.

I live in akron. But i dont know much about the non-turbos. But did you try shep racing. John might work on a n/t. He would probaby put it in for around 300.

Man just buy a Haynes manual and get to it. When I bought a talon with a bad trans for real cheap I just got ripped it out and threw another one it. It's not to hard.

yea i just got a haynes i think im gonna try and tackle it next weekend .. hopefully its not to hard.. btw i posted pics awhile back of my tranny theres about a 4" hole in the xfer case/bellhousing.. took it to the track towed it home lol..

transfer case? i thought you said it was a gs. only the GSX's had transfer cases, because of the AWD. anyway i live about an hour from akron. if you need help putting the tranny in, let me know. all i ask is for gas money (probably about $15 each way) and we could figure a price for me helping, (depending on how much you do), etc. the last time, i dropped my friends tranny out to replace the clutch i only charged him $100. i'll never do that again, heh. if you already got your tranny out, then getting it in is only half the work. my friend was suppose to help me with the job, but really didn't do much. which is why next time, i won't do a clutch job for only $100. i'm sure we could figure something out. let me know.
