runs good now but wont idle. at what RPM should i time it at?
good news and bad news. Due to wrong wiring with the safc II, my car was running like crap.. but now i did it right and it revs like a champ. sometimes it will idle at 1100..... sometimes 600 and sometimes 800 or 900 where it should be... and it will die once and a while too. what should i check for? also, at what rpm should i time it at?

in the ka24e / de engines , your need to enter diagnostic mode to time engine , this is done by going directly to the ecu and switching to 2nd or 3rd mode not sure wich one it is no more i have the procedure somewhere downstairs , ill try and get it for ya later on tomorow
