bigger model brakes work with smaller model?

hey im pretty new to posting but i sit here reading other posts on here alot. I finally decided to build a 1950 Chevy truck the way i am intending to build it in 1:1..or close atleast. so my question is..has anyone taken disk brakes off 1/12(i think. its a hot wheels civic si) and used them on a AMT 1/24 ( i guess) model?

oh and i have a revell 67 GTX in the works too

Re: bigger model brakes work with smaller model?

No. Not unless you don't care about realism. The superlarge brakes might fit, maybe if you get super large wheels to fit them in. I think you mean 1/18 scale though. There are some wheel sets (1/24-1/25) that come with semi realistic looking brakes if you want brakes. Good luck. Welcome to AF

1:18 brake discs would be the size of 1:24 wheels.

Re: bigger model brakes work with smaller model?

yeah the hub hole is way too big for the smaller wheels. and im putting whitewalls and steel wheels on it anyway so they wouldnt be seen :s BUT i might put them on the GTX...they look kinda like 26's on it
