overheating

I have a 95 dakota with a 5.2L. The problem is overheating. I have replaced the thermostat 3 times, clutch fan twice, waterpump twice, radiator cap 3 times and the radiator.

The overheating occurs more so in the summer months. The cooling system has been pressure tested, OK. No signs of a blown head gasket. The overheating occurs gradually while driving. In temps up to 110 it would take about 40 miles to overheat and at that point the coolant is literally boiling out of the radiator into the overflow.

A timing light was used and it shows well over 5 degrees from TDC. Could this be the problem?

There are 145,000 miles on the engine and Im just about ready to replace it. No codes have been stored to retrieve.

Can anybody help?
