Need new struts. I have questions

ok. i need new struts and i need them badly. ive been driving around for like a half a year and my 95 grand prix SE is bumpy as heck. if i replace the struts, i should just replace shocks too right? and is there a guide online on how to replace struts and shocks for my year car? thanx.

Re: Need new struts. I have questions

The front struts are a cartridge, and can be changed without upsetting the cars alignment, but it requires a special tool for removing the cartridge from the base. You can buy the rear struts as an assemmbly with the upper mount and jounce bumper already attached, so installation is pretty simple, but you'll need an alignment afterwards (luminas require a 4 wheel alignment). AS far as the proceedure, buy a repair manual, they are cheap and have a lot of useful info for the DIY.
