Window Tinting Problems on 05 Accord Coupe

I bought a silver 05 Accord Coupe a couple of months ago, and I recently got around to tinting the windows. The tint's not sticking to the top of the rear window where the dot matrix is. The guy at the shop I went to said that it'd smooth out in a couple of days, but I've seen other Accords out there with the same painfully obvious problem.

I asked a couple of friends, who said that I could either ask them to remove the tint from the dot matrix area (Will this cause any damage to the car?) or to put vinyl on the outside where the dot matrix is. Is it too late to do anything else? What's the best solution? Thanks!

Re: Window Tinting Problems on 05 Accord Coupe

You could always live with the slight bubbling. There will always be slight bubbling because the dot matrix sticks up from the surface of the glass. If it creates a problem for you, you can remove the tinting that covers the dots but make sure you do not cut any rear window heater or antenna traces in the process. If you wait too long, the film will shrink and tighten and you will have a bitch trying to get it off without damaging the rest of the film.
