I posted this in the Firebird section as well, figured some of you might wanna know where I stand right now.

Nothing has truely changed over the last 3 weeks.
Although, I have gotten my heads. Patriot Stage 2 LS6 heads. Not quite what I wanted, but should be enough to hit 475+ RWHP.
The stock motor is sitting on the stand right now. Basicly waiting on the head bolts, so I can re-install the heads, and sell it off. Gaskets are all cleaned up. No damage to anything. Looks VERY good. Little more carbon than normal.....damn the car for running rich.
Heads are actually back at Patriot. Getting some minor work done, and some things done for free.
Not sure if 10.5:1 compression is enough for my cam. I guess I will find out once all is installed.

Right now....I am down lifters, fuel pump (can wait), and the true duals.
Still kinda undecided if I want to go with stock Y-Pipe and catback with dual cutouts at the headers, or a true dual system. Leaning towards true duals.

Once I get this stock LS1 cleaned up, it will sell, and I will have the parts I need to get back on the road. Hoping my the end of this month.

The stock heads took a while to clean up. I am sure you can tell a difference. May have to look close though.

Some work has been done since that last pic. Stock cam has been re-installed. Timing chain has been aligned and installed. Along with the cam cover, bolts, and oil pump.
Soon I should have an idling clip for everyone. Probably won't idle to great, but it will try.

6 ton stands. They are supposed to be able to have a holding height of 24+ inches. In the pic, they aren't all that extended.

ok, you posted it in 2 sections becasue i asked about the dog to, lol, rally remember when we was talking shit to Lous and said shit like he didnt have a girl? check out pic #2 and 3, those heads are on the coffee table, now he might have a girl, but i dont believe she lives with him, she prob would have killed him for just thinking about putting those heads on that table.

There used to be a Saturn, but she traded that in Monday. Thank god, what a pile. Between the gym, the chiropractor, and work, not sure if I will catch the car here in daylight.
I will find something in the house to take a pic of though.

I dont see how you can work in that small of a garage. especially an engine change out. I would go crazy! I currently have 1440 sq. ft of garage space (and never seem to have enough space) and in the process of adding another 2880 sq. ft. on to that with extra high ceilings (18feet) so that i can install a 2 post lift , but its going to be a while before that is completed -hopefully by the end of summer 2006

I wouldn't be so sure. I dated a girl once that would have put the heads their herself, and it would be me that would complain about em. She used to work on my car all the time. Sure she wasn't the most attractive of women (wasn't bad looking just not overly good), but she was head-over-heels for me and I could convince her to do anything for me.
