cheap upgrades do they work

do the upgrades that claim that they will increase horse power for like 20 buck work? wich ones do and wich ones dont

If your referring to the resistor chip on ebay, no. Ive personally seen a dyno graph on a ranger where it lost 20hp and 25 ft-tq with the chip. It does nothing but trick the car into thinking its colder outside and dumping useless fuel into the engine.

would be easier if you showed us which specific ones you were refering to.

Yes there are some cheap mods that do help such as a cone air intake (ebay for $20), a manual boost controller (only for turbo cars).

And then there are teh junk ones, like the resistor 'chips' mentioned above, and the tornado/turbonator, the venom 400 (not cheap, but worthless), intake plenum spacer (IMO, only helpful for carb'ed engines)
