This whole big thing is such a mess I really dont care to type that much. Anyways... As for 96 Spydermans car and the rest of this crap:

Back in March he gave my $6500 to find him a car. I found a few but they flaked out, one I went to Ohio for but it had a shit load of problems that the seller didnt admit too. Anyways after searching for a few weeks I found a 97 Talon TSI AWD for $7300. Went to look at it, it was a nice car so I low balled the guy right off the bat and offered him $6k. We dickered for a little bit and I ended up getting the car for $6300. Got it home and went to work on it. When I got the title (previous owner filed for a lost title) and had it sent to my house it said the car was a White 95 Talon AWD. So I went and checked both the vin on the dash and on the body by the door and there was 3 different vin numbers. Went down to the police station and talked to them, they came out, looked at the car and impounded it. I guess the car was stolen and the title was for a car the guy use to own and was now smashed in a junk yard in Illinois. The car I bought was a stolen one that was found but never reported to the insurance company and sold in a police auction without a title. So the police shipped the car to Virginia when it was originally stolen from for the insurance company to inspect and the original owner to check out. 3 weeks later it was supposidly shipped back. When I got "the" car back it appeared to be the same but come to find out it was a totally different car and I was charged $1600 for shipping and $375 for impound charges. Wow, thats $2k out of my pocket and I have a car that isnt what I bought in the first place. It ended up being a Black 95 Talon TSI FWD. Talked to Marty (96spyderman) and he said it didnt matter, he just needed a car bad. So I finished up the motor and put it in. I didnt have a FWD tranny so I pulled my motor and tranny and gave him my tranny just so this thing would be done and out of my hair. Got everything finished up and leave to bring him the car, get 20 miles out of town and it starts knocking. What a fun walk back that was... Let me tell ya. Anyways finally got the car back and found out one of the rod bearings was getting starved of oil. So while I was replacing that, I decided to check everything in the area just cause I am anal about my motors. Come to find out the thrust bearing spun and was completely fucked. So out comes the motor. Found a 6 bolt block and crank in good condition and bought it for $400 in despirate need, send it to the machinest for another $400 worth of work. Add up $200 for all new bearings (Rod and Main). Wow, thats about $3k out of my pocket plus my time and the stall in my garage. Now that I have the block back from the machinest I have started reassembly on the motor and hope to have it finished by early next week at the latest. Like I said, I am anal about my motors, out of the 3 or so dozen I have done in the last 2 years not one has failed on me and that is why I take my time. Its about the quality of the work, not how fast you can get it done. Marty and I talked last night for awhile and worked things out. I'm sorry it has taken this long but there really isnt much I can do. Right now I am in the process of selling my GST to Anarchy1111 and so far he has paid me $3500 for it which is how I was able to put out the money otherwise the car would probably still be sitting in the impound. I'm trying to get this thing done as fast as I can, the best I can. At anyrate I can say it will be done for sure by the end of the month, no ifs, ands or buts.

As for future work done... There will be none. I am never going to do this again. There are a few of you that are exempt from this (Jake/97_3clipse, Marty/96Spyderman, Joel/gstclips, Joe/Joemathews, Chris/JoeWagon, Joel/Anarchy1111 and Urban... if choose to still do business with me.) Which I have be talking with recently about work done. Other than those people, there will be no going out of state or even in state help, there will be nothing. I dont even know if I want to be on the site anymore. As for Joewagon and what happened, I dont blame him. He is a good friend and will remain whether he is here or not. If I'm asked to remain a mod, it will probably take some time before I give them an answer. I've been here for almost 2 years, day in and day out, if its so easy to replace one person, who knows how long its going to be before I'm the next to be replaced. In my honest opinion, who is going to want to be here or listen to a mod that members dont find suitable for the forum? I believe if your a mod of a certain forum you should be one of the most knowledgable of the cars that it pertains to and responsible to where you can hold a forum together in a respectful way. Personally, I feel the same way as a few of you about the newly appointed mod but shit happens, get over it.

I'm not sure what is going to happen with this whole deal, seeing how everything happened with Joewagon makes me want to say screw this site but another part of me realizes it was his fault but some members pushed him too far and acted immaturely about it. He did a fine job moderating this forum, it ran just fine and very rarely did we have a dispute where we needed other moderators to step in. Joewagon told me numerous times Moppie trys to tell him how to moderate. This is one of the big reasons why Joewagon isnt here now. As for what he did with the stickies, I dont really know what happened there. Moderating isnt all hunky dorry like everyone thinks it is. It gets sick and tiring after awhile. There has many times where I just wanted to say fuck it and leave but there were people that always talked me back into it. I like being here and helping everyone but I dont know how much longer its going to last. If I am not a mod anymore I will probably not be around at all. That is pretty much the only thing keeping me attached to this site. Just like Joewagon said, all the people talking about shit is worthless and has no meaning gets old, that and no one follows the rules. I am probably one of the most lax moderators on this site as far as rules go (As you can see by the rules Josh and John have been enforcing) cause everyone usually stays inline that way, but yet I ban someone for something big and I'm the bad guy. Yes this is a PG-13 site, but show me 3 movies or TV shows without 1 swear word in it. I swear as you can see, and I can pretty much gaurantee everyone on this site does at one point in time. Whether they abuse it or not is a different story but I feel Lando was treated boarderline unfairly. A simple warning would have done its justice.

At any rate... Comment as you wish, PM me, instant message me, call me if you really want to... Just know that the first guy that starts a flame war or gets this topic off track will be given a vacation, I'm sick of that shit. If I do end up ending my membership here, I will still be on DSMCHAT (AOL) and my messanger services if anyone needs verbal help. Other than that, I will not work on anyones car again besides the few I listed above. Sorry for the inconvenience to all of you.

I work 100+ hrs a week then add his car on top of that, tell me where I have time to play on an internet forum telling people that I have no clue who they are what is going on. It DOESNT CHANGE MY LIFE SO WHY DO IT? Understand... Good! As for being on several times, this site is my homepage on both my computers. My laptop and my desktop at my parents house. Whoever goes on the internet loads this site first. I havent been on my computer in probably 3 weeks. I talk to people thru AOL on my phone but thats about all the internet usage I have had.

Well anyways, since most of our really knowledge people have been banned I'm really not sure if I'm going to stay here anymore. Those were the people who made our forum so good. Hopefully kevin and Joe would stay and you, but if you guys dont I guess I will have to find a new place!

Oh and another thing, JoeWagon and Jake have been great moderators on our site! They have keep our forum clean and got rid of all the bullshit! Them both and a couple of other member on this site have helped me/others alot on our cars. Thanks for all your work JoeWagon and Jake! If Jake leaves I dont think Joe or even Kevin will stay around, so this place will fallapart. So Jake, just think it over before you leave!

This WAS my favorit place to come...but I guess things change.

To me this is one of the important things, the mods should really know what their talking about if they plan to help others. Not just about cars but specific cars, in our case dsm. Jake did fill me in on most of the stuff he just wrote about... the timeliness wasn't the greatest and he didn't keep in the greatest contact with me.
I can understand someone being busy and what not but.... what is done is done. Jake has guaranteed the car to be done and ready by the weekend of the 27th AUG...
I fully agree with raginasian!!! both joe and jake are REALLY knowledgeable and have been a great help.
It is very unfortunate what happened to joe... it'd be nice if he could have another chance... I would vote for that!!

As for jake's write up... there are a few things missing but like I said "what is done, is done" I want/need this car and he is warranted it for 12 months/12,000 miles whichever comes first.

Jake you were a good mod. You and Joewagon held this place together and did a helluva job. I don't think anybody should dispute that.

But, I think you could have taken 5 minutes out of your day to post up what was going on in the first place, so this shit didnt escalate to the point it did. I don't think 96spyderman would have been so pissed or anyone else on this board (if you care) if you would have just said SOMETHING. Not hearing your side of it made it difficult to play off. I hope you understand what I am saying. Waiting until now to explain everything after everyone was reading what was going on and making their own opinions does not seem like the wisest choice, but it was the one you made. People expect more from you because you are a mod. That might not be fair, but its the way it is.

I think that most people would agree with me and want you to stay. You know more about our cars than 98% of everybody else on here, and we can all respect that, and move on with life.

I explained that I didn't think you should argue with the new mod in open forum in aim and you misunderstood and you thought I was deleting the part in the mod corner copy of this thread, Why would I have anything to hide?. I am not involved in this other than being a moderator for this site. Good luck to everyone involved but this should have never went as far as it did. IMO. Should have been resolved months ago. Still good luck. Please ask in the future why I did something Jake, you know very well how to get in contact with me don't accuse me of things you know I didn't do without consulting with you.

I've watched idle and silently through this issue. I must say I am certainly disappointed in the outcome. This is the first time I've heard that Joe wagon has been banned.

Rules are made for the better good, and to protect the ideas of others. But sometime, not very often are rules needed to be stretched to provide for the very best possible result. I don’t think that type idealism has been used efficiently in this matter, and by such, I think has hurt this LARGE, educated, and devoted area of Automotive Forums.

It’s never about what has been said. It's how they are said, and how they are interrupted that has gives us the outcome.

I for one love this forum. It was the first forum. Its been my home base for almost 2 years. The first forum I had ever posted in. It is the reason I have my GSX. I personally will continue to read and lay silent watching the progress of this forum to correct misinformation and bad ideas that will certainly increase with the outcome of what has happened; to provide a place for everyone to learn. If many of you decide to leave, remember you will be contributing to a large problem that will hurt this area of AF for a very long time.

Ive been reading quietly thought this issue without saying a word also, and I think this really sucks(for a loss of better words). I got my gst before knowing anything about engines. After joining here and reading for hours and hours at a time, I learned how to put in a turbo, fuel pumps, and countless other fun car parts. I really hope jake doesnt leave, but I cant change that since he knows no idea who I am. Why was Joe banned anyways?

I plan on staying and helping to the best of my knowledge also.

Very good post Scottsee, I would like to add something for a few members that may question whats going on. Joewagon asked to be removed and banned. He used his last minutes as part of AF to write nasty threads in the mod corner about how everyone on this site is a ******** and use his mod powers to cause issue's with the stickies. He didn't want to remain a member here, we didn't kick him out, we did as he requested. Jake has had many issue's of his dealing's with members come up if they are true or not no one knows for sure except for the others involved and Jake but this isn't the first, second or even third time a problem like this has come up with him and everyone say's were is Jake why are we not hearing from Jake?. Isn't he a mod, shouldn't he be around? and yes as a moderator, we hold a position of trust and are a representive for this site. He was told a while ago by the admins directly that he has to choose to be a moderator or a parts salesman. So seeing what is continueing to happen, he made a choice. He is not banned and will not be banned as long as he continues to follow the guidelines. LandoAWD was banned due to the fact he basically asked me to ban him, he didn't listen to my request to please not over react or watch the language and sent me a email begging me to ban him and insulting me. A issue which Jake had also addressed in his sticky. I said if he apoloized I would unban him but he did not and continued his plead that he no longer wanted to be part of this site. We are in a hard position cause normally a mod is appointed to a section by fellow mods from that area. It has always been done by moderator nomination. Josh has been a member for a long time and anyone who takes the time to get to know him can't question he knows his stuff but hasn't been a Eclipse owner very long but does know his stuff and does have a strong interest in this forum. We are all confident that he will do right by you guys and will be helped in the near future by another appointed moderator who is also a eclipse owner. Lets all be patient while the forum slowly returns to normal, we are not trying to lose any more members but if you guys can't understand that there was a need for change and don't like it here anymore , we can't stop you from leaving and are sorry to lose you.
