4th gen Prelude Si or 300zx TT

Looking to buy either a 4th gen Prelude Si/V-tec or a 300zx twin-turbo.
I really like them both......anyone have any thoughts?

Si does not have VTEC.
But IMO I would definately go with the Z TT.

See.... I am a girl and my boyfriend (who has a prelude but likes the Z)
says, "The 300zx is a black man's car", nothing personal but the majority of the time when you see a Z it is most like a middle aged black man driving it (well at least here in Mactown and the A-T-L hahaha). And well I think he is right about seeing a girl driving a Z would be weird but I think the Z has more potential than to be just a cruiser on chromed out "20s. I want a nice powerful car but both cars are......of course the Z is more powerful. But out of any Honda (of normal status) the prelude in my opinion is the best. (and also more girlie, but whatever)

prelude cant even come close to the Z. I'm trying to get my hands on a twin turbo myself. but I'd rather see a middle aged black man behind the wheel of one then a girl. those turbos would just go to waste! :finger:

i hope you have money set aside for rebuilding those turbo's...if you go with the z...seems like every z i hear of has turbo problems or had them blown since most people drive the shit out of those cars! I know i would!!

Maybe before you call anyone "focker," you should learn that it's "VTEC" ... All caps, no hyphen.

The Prelude is a sport coupe; the 300ZX is a grand tourer. You'll get more of everything with the Z: speed, looks, handling, but also repair bills...

First of all I've done my research and decided to go the 2+2 instead of the turbo, because i think it is a waste also and still 222hp a lot of hp for a stock.
To 95vteclude: Okay I didn't ask you opinion on who would look better in the Z. Why do you say this? In my opinion I don't really care who is driving the car (I just was talking about that b/c my boyfriend). As long as the driver isn't fucking up the car and can't drive, and just b/c I am a girl doesn't mean I can't drive......
To Jay: Well it still reads VTEC(Variable value Timing and lift Electronic Control) at least i didn't type Vtech, hahaha.

222hp in a 300ZX? The version with 280hp (sorry, dunno much about Nissan) should weigh about 722lbs so I´d guess the version with only 222hp won´t be much lighter. The one with 280hp needs about 6.0 seconds from 0-60 according to a british sports car magazine so the one with 222hp can´t be much faster than a Prelude IMO. If it´s any faster....
So 222hp isn´t that much for such a heavy car. Please correct me if I´m wrong! Like I´ve said I don´t know much about Nissan. I´m a pure Honda fan.

I´m sure 95vteclude didn´t mean it like that. But to be honest I´m thinking the same!

And yeah, I know that I´ve spelled VTEC wrong in my name. :finger:

no no no, i think when she said 222HP stock ain't bad she was referring to the prelude(although I think it's advertised as 220HP, but hey, I'm jsut being anal.)

ill post this here too (i already did in the girls forum) but since lots of u dont go in there......well tell me if im right

1. the z is a HEAVY ASS car
2. parts are hard to get for it. my bfs friend had a z and it was at that stage where something was always breaking and local shops did not have the parts for it so they had to end up ordering the parts from japan and they took awhile to get here.
3. yes the z is more powerful but it is a heavy car and aftermarket parts are more expensive for it.
4. also not many mechanics are used to working on z's since not many ppl have them. ie. if u live out in bumfuckville chances are there isnt a mechanic who knows how to work on the z

i still think the z is a nice car but id rather have the lude. it is a easier to get parts to modify it than the z.
