u-joints
Hey everyone Im new to this site but I have been on others so no virgin here.
My question is ..has anyone had problems with their u- joints going bad at lower miles. Both front and rear joints went and I think this is too soon for them to go bad at 41000 miles on a 2002 silverado z-71 ext cab. just wondering if anyone else had problems with them. thanx |

Re: u-joints
Different size tires or lift kit? What mods from stock have been done? What percent of time is truck off road and in 4 wheel drive, in mud/hwy?

I have a 99 Z-71, my u joints go out on me about every 30-35k. i took it to a few shops and most of them said it was normal but i've also found some shops won't touch them because of the aluminum drive shaft. mine usually start as a squeak then turn in to a vibe.
