'96 200SX SER No Start and Clutch Issues

My problem is two fold.
First, this morning, my car would not start. Just a rapid fire clicking when I turned the key in the ignition. Any predictions?
Second, for the past couple of weeks I have noticed a problem getting the car to accelerate. The transmission is manual, and when I am in the low gears and I press the gas down, the engine revs, but it seems like it takes a long time for the car to get moving. Also, when I am going up hills it seems like the car struggles to make it up.
Anyway, I am having the car towed to a mechanic to check out the non-starting issue, and I will also have him look at the clutch, since people seem to think that might be a problem.
Any ideas of what a clutch replacement would cost on my ride? Any suggestions?
