Stuck in 4WD
My '94 YJ Recently had a seal replaced in transfercase. This fixed the problem of not going into 4H or 4L. 1 week later went offroad in Vt. Great time and great climb, everything worked fine! Got back to the pavement, no 2H. I've tried everything shifter technique-wise. It will shift back and forth between 4H and 4L but not back to 2H. Linkage? Anybody have any suggestions?

Same thing happened to me. My problem was the body got ahold of the shift linkage and bent it. All I did was take the linkage off bend it back, weld it up, grind the weld down. And re-install the linkage. Works like a charm. Take your shifter boots off and take a peek. It is a bit of a pain to get under there, you need long skinny arms.
