cd player wiring problem

hay guys im a newbe here and was wondering if i could get some help
i just put in a cd player to my zx2 (that was fun but worth it) .every time i shut my car off i loose all my preset stuff.
i mached up every wire untill i ran out, I ended up with wire for the memory but no wire to conect it to
what do i do????
any thoughts

hum i guess i lied i do have the memory wire connected to the accesory wire off my raido
the one i have loose is for lumnation like for the lights , but the lights on it work when i turn it on....
???

its a JVC not sure what sub model
its has got the normal speker wires (front, rear) then memory, and accessory, lumination, power ,negitive......i have the memory off my car
to the acc. off my stereo. i dont hae the lum. hooked up at all but the lights work , if i take them apart and put the lumin. wire to the acc. nothing happens, stereo wont come on.....lol i dont get it

thats a tricky one. Im sure its probally a simple solution too.
Try to post it one the ZX2 forum see if anybody there knows.

There should be one wire that is connected to a source that provides 12V at all times (even when the ignition is off). Did you use a wiring adapter that lets you plug into the OEM harness or did you whack off that plug and splice your new stuff to the wires? If there isn't a 12V wire readily available (but there should be) run one straight to the fuse box and tap the battery side of the headlight or horn fuse.

yeah there is ... i have to to the accessory wire off the raido. and yes i used a adapter it came with the lovely dash kit the zx2 uses
