key stuck anti-theft light on
1996 Sunfire - had work done (brakes, tune-up) and all was well after I picked it up - key worked as normal for several stops. But got 40 miles from home, turned off the key per normal, and "anti-theft" light came on, and key will not come out of the ignition - no how, no way! I'm thinking it's the pass-lock system that somehow got affected when the work was being done ... any suggestions? Seems like if it was the ignitio, the anti-theft light wouldn't suddenlly be on. Had the car since '96 and have never seen that light on before today.
Really appreciate the help -- I took it back to where the work was done, and they're "thinkin' on it" ...

Make sure the car is in park. And right after you shut the car off, i do believe the anti-theft light comes on...
