Van 93: Water pump leaks. Or does it?

Hi everyone,
I have a Chevy van G20 93 with a 5 liter engine. I recently flushed the cooling system and the water was extremely rust colored. So much rust, that running water through the system for about 5 minutes did not completely clear the rust color. Today, about 2 months later, the van was parked on a steep hill facing upwards. When I came back to the ven 1 hour after I had parked it I realized that it was dripping rusty colored water. I layed under the van and saw that rusty water was dripping from a hole on the bottom side of the water pump. (I think it is the water pump. It is the part where the radiator fan attaches). Does anyone know why it has a hole and why it was leaking and what this could possibly mean? I appreciate all suggestions. Thanks

needs a new pump dude its a seal hole if it leaks replace it
