Exhaust system question.

i thought catback exhaust is a pipe from the cat out to the muffler. ive seen exhaust systems that have more and longer pipes than what i've imagined.

heres an example of an exhaust system with more pipes

and this one with just 1 pipe

You're right about the catback-- from the cat, then back to the muffler. They may be generic pictures, I'm not sure. The exhaust can be much more straight. Mine certainly is

You can also see the exhaust constrict at a point, which is bad (first link).

Re: Exhaust system question.

You didn't get a cat back in the description it says "Rear Section Bolt on Exhaust,Muffler,Mufflers,N1,95-99" that means its only the section after the second resonator. In the first picture it's the section with muffler tip. Thats probably why it was so cheap sorry to say you need some more piping for a cat-back system. The GSX exhaust is much straighter than the gs-t exhaust.
