Problem with reverse
I've had this problem ever since I got a different engine. Its not really a big deal but it is annoying. When I back up not only do the reverse lights not come on but the car dies. When I reverse and step on the gas it backs up like you would expect but as soon as I let off the gas it dies. Only when I use gas though. When I backup and just let the automatic trans roll it does fine any ideas? Any thoughts on this will help alot. Thanks

Re: Problem with reverse
What year, engine, trans?
I believe your backup lights will be tied into the neutral safety switch. If the bulbs are ok, check the ground wire, and then I'd probably replace the switch. As far as the car dying, I don't know. |

The engines a target master and I have no idea about the tranny. Does anyone thing it could be the torque converter?
