Killin with a blown engine

So my mechanic (my dad) told me my engine is blown because he found oil getting to my radiator. 200,000 miles and having over-heated a couple times its understandable. Still the original engine from 1988. He also said it would be ok to drive around on til I can get a new engine.

So back to my story..

I was driving home from work in my 1988 Camaro RS 2.8L, I am heading down the highway, lookin for adventure... I was in the middle lane of three... well after a light I get over to the right lane to get around a semi thats going slow.

This is where the story really takes off..

I get around the semi and move back into the middle lane well this chic in a passat moves got over into the middle lane from the left lane. Ok so I follow her to the next light which happens to be red (couldn't pass traffic on both sides). So I noticed she is driving pretty fast so I figure she is going to take off at the light and I will be able to get over and pass her. Well sure enough she takes off infact she PUNCHED IT! so I punched it aswell. I change to the left lane put my foot down and blew past her.

OH YEAH VICTORY IS SWEEEEET!!!!!!!!!!!!

Shoot, I was expecting you to say that you totally fried your engine after doing that. That would have really sucked.

Re: Killin with a blown engine

i got owned by a semi that didn't have a trailer behind it, their faster than i thought they would be.

i was in my jeep though and sitting about eye level with the bottom of his window. my 4.2 don't run too fast with 38in tires even with lower gears =)

Rally, what kind of eclipse was it. I think i'm gonna challenge that kid with GS-T. U really should here this kid talk. He told me that Trans Am, came with 5.8 and if you add a "borla chip w/borla exhaust, you'll be pushing over 500hp", oh and that they also came with 400hp staight out that factory. I was just laughing to myself, didn't wanna hurt his feelings, btw, he believes supra are unbeatable. Kids.....

5.8 eh.. sounds.. nice.

I beat a 94 like Eclipse..

Nothing special, you should be able to take on his GS-T, especially off the line, and its a done deal in a light to light race since he has to get his revs to 6K to get his highest HP out, unless he's tuned it properly, which I doubt.

Btw he's running (STOCK) 210 bhp @ 6000 rpm, 214 lb-ft @ 3000 rpm

I think he's a done deal for you, man. Race and bet some MONEY!

No, he hasn't done anything to it (you are right). He was saying things like, he's gonna get a down pipe and catback, which would put him near 260-270 (which i really doubt, JUST downpipe and catback). I know i would get him, he has saw my car already, probably wasn't to impressed with it. At the time, it did need a wash and wax, he told me i should buy another IROC for "$50" and take everything off of that and put it on mine. Rally, you really have to hear this kid talk. It's absolutely hiliarious!

yea their not really all that fast, my 38in boggers slow my jeep down a pretty good bit. but most of the semis have around 500hp but they've got crazy amounts of torque and we only raced to like 35 too so i got smoked

Re: Killin with a blown engine

semis get up in first gear pretty good... after that they have to change gears about a million times though.

I would to see any car get smoked by a semi, but that must of been one cool ass driver to race you in one.

Bantag tires sponsors a drag semi, it does run somewhere around 8, and a high speed one tops out around 140ish if i remember the poster right. Got a bigass ricer wing on it, but on something that size you need a big spoiler to keep it straight.
