CD Player Fix?
Thanks to this forum, I can start tackling the radio LED backlight problem and the blower resistor that has my blower only working on Setting 5. I have a 97 GT Grand Prix with a 3800.
My problem is that my CD in my CD/AM/FM with equalizer stopped working many moons ago. Basically, the CD is spit back out after it is put in and "ERROR" appears in the display. Anyone had any success with a repair, either yourself or with your dealer? IF it is truly beyond repair...any aftermarket replacements you can recommend that will hook up to the steering wheel audio controls ?(no need for HUD or other connection...i've got a basic GT) |

One option is to replace it with another stock radio. You can find them on E-bay quite often. I won an auction there two years ago for 50.00 , plays like new with no problems since installation.

Re: CD Player Fix?
Thanks, I am not an "eBayer" yet, but looks like I may have to start...by the way, I successfully installed a new blower resistor according to instructions from Mr. L and also installed a new light in my volume control on my steering column...this forum stuff is great.

Re: CD Player Fix?
As I have replied in another post, I have a factory CD/am/fm radio from my 98 GT that works just fine. I just wanted an after maket one with new speakers.
