Anyone want an alternator to rebuild?

I've got a delco remy alternator from a 97 chevy that went bad. I ordered a new one off of ebay which leaves me with the bad one sitting in my garage.

if anybody wants it to rebuild, let me know.

I'll take $10 + shipping and it's yours.

Re: Anyone want an alternator to rebuild?

I don't know, it was still kind of charging but wasn't charging enough so the volts light came on, it was also making a slight whining noise...

As far as I know it's just a regulator or something like that...

Re: Anyone want an alternator to rebuild?

sounds like some bad diodes in the regulator.

Re: Anyone want an alternator to rebuild?

Well I just wanted to see if anyone wanted it to rebuild it... that's all. I don't want to rebuild it myself or anything like that. It looks pretty damn nice on the outside.
