yeah they are identical in size and shape... and i believe if you wanted too... get the drive shaft and rear end on your car and have a real vr4... then you'll have a vr4 that is cheap on insurance .

lol cheaper insurance, still not that cheap, and if you were really to do all of it, the cost wouldn't be worth it, it'd just be cheaper to get a real VR-4, but if you'd like the title that you went from SL to VR-4 than be my guest. Whatever you decide to do good luck!

hope you are kidding

there is a LOT more to an AWD conversion on a FWD 3S. Look under both cars. The under side is different. You would need a complete donor AWD car, and very good welding skills to convert the chassis to accept the AWD parts. It has been done but it's EXTENSIVE. Not really worth the trouble, better off buying an AWD model if that is what you want.

And yes, the 6G72 NA and TT are identical, just different compression and an extra set of oil squirters on the TT. It will drop right in.

yeah it will bolt up to the fwd trans of the sl. the only problem is you will have an ass load ot torque in the front end. its called torque steer. another thing you'll have to work with is the exhaust. its a whole differents setup from the exhaust manifolds to mufflers in the back. because in the vr4 theres a drive axel leading to the rear differential down the middle of the car. the stock sl exhaust would be getting in the way of that. another thing that sucks with 3ks .... your gonna have to mess with the computer and all sensors
good luck
